That was one way to describe our Reunion Weekend! One could start partying on Friday morning
and keep busy till Sunday morning OR pick and choose what worked best for them and slow the
pace a bit. Here's a quick recap of the weekend ...
The festivities began on Friday morning with a golf outing at Cary Country Club. 8 hardy souls
joined in the fun! Start time was 9am and after finishing they went to Linda (Busse) Mignano's
for a late lunch of jambalaya and cocktails! Yum!!!
Later that evening, RSVP's was the gathering place for our class and many others. Outside, there
was a huge bonfire and tables for chit-chat. Inside was a cast of thousands - talking, mingling and
reconnecting. The Reunion Committee supplied the pizza for our classmates and people had a
great time!
Saturday morning, about 12 people met at the train station and decorated our Class of '66 float to
participate in the Homecoming parade. The homecoming theme was "Welcome to the Jungle"
and we embraced that concept by wearing animal themed T-shirts and sitting under a palm tree
on the float. After the parade, some people took a tour of the high school and attended the
football game or tail-gated at 111 Grille.
The main event at Millrose Restaurant began at 7pm and about 45 people attended. The heavy
appetizers were a big hit. The pasta station was a busy place! The disc jockey got us up and
involved with games, music and hula-hoops!!!
The weekend came to an end at 111 Grille! 13 people dragged themselves up and out for a tasty
brunch and to squeeze more fun in before everyone parted ways.
So, with 45'th Reunion a memory - the Reunion Committee wants to thanks everyone who took the
time out of their busy schedules to reunite with fellow classmates! We hope there was SOMETHING
for everyone to do over the weekend. Please let us know your thoughts about this weekend.
Please contact Kay (Etters) Griffith with your comments, suggestions, etc. - we'd love to hear them!
all future communication. If you know of any other classmates that would like to keep in touch,
please share these sites with them.
Once again, thanks for being part of the 45'th Class of '66 Reunion!
We'll be posting photos soon so check back.
Oh, and by the way ............ DIDN'T WE ALL LOOK MARVELOUS !!!
